INDUSTRIAL SCREEN PRINTING
Industrial Screen Printing Services
While digital printing excels at gradients and variable data, Screen Printing (Serigraphy) remains the undisputed champion for color vibrancy, opacity, and cost-efficiency in high-volume production. Graphie provides industrial-grade screen printing services specifically tailored for the manufacturing sector. Based in La Pocatière, we integrate this capability directly with our metal fabrication line, allowing us to print logos, safety warnings, and operational text directly onto the parts we build.
We focus exclusively on industrial substrates: powder-coated steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and rigid plastics, using specialized inks formulated to withstand the rigors of the manufacturing environment.
The Power of Exact Color Matching
For OEMs and corporate clients, brand integrity is non-negotiable. Screen printing offers the highest level of color accuracy available.
-
Pantone Matching: We mix inks physically to match specific Pantone (PMS) codes. Unlike digital CMYK simulation, screen printing delivers the exact shade of "Corporate Red" or "Safety Yellow" every time.
-
Opacity: Screen printing lays down a thicker deposit of ink than digital methods. This allows us to print vibrant, opaque light colors (like white or yellow) directly onto dark surfaces (like black powder-coated metal) without the background showing through.
Specialized Industrial Inks
A print is only as good as its adhesion. We utilize a range of high-performance ink systems designed for difficult industrial substrates:
-
Epoxy Inks: Two-component inks that cure to form an incredibly hard, chemically resistant bond. These are the standard for printing on metal chassis and control panels that face abrasion or solvent exposure.
-
Solvent & UV Inks: Optimized for various plastics (Polycarbonate, Acrylic) and vinyls, ensuring the print remains flexible and does not crack.
-
Texture & Finishes: We can apply specialty finishes such as selective gloss varnishes or textured coatings to specific areas of a control panel for ergonomic or aesthetic effect.
When to Choose Screen Printing?
At Graphie, we offer both Digital and Screen printing. We recommend Screen Printing when:
-
Volume: For runs of 50, 500, or 5,000 identical parts, screen printing becomes significantly more cost-effective per unit than digital printing.
-
Durability: When the print needs extreme resistance to chemicals or physical wear (using epoxy inks).
-
Color Requirements: When a specific spot color (PMS) must be hit with 100% accuracy.
