DIGITAL PRINTING

Industrial Digital Printing and Graphic Overlays

In the industrial sector, identification is not merely aesthetic; it is functional. Whether for safety warnings on heavy machinery, control panels in a train car, or branding on an electrical enclosure, the marking must withstand the same rigorous conditions as the equipment itself. Graphie offers state-of-the-art Industrial Digital Printing services, bridging the gap between heavy manufacturing and high-definition graphic reproduction.

Our industrial digital printing services include UV digital printing for graphic overlays, control panels, safety signage, and equipment identification used in demanding industrial environments.

Located in La Pocatière, Quebec, our identification division operates alongside our metal fabrication plant. This unique positioning allows us to offer vertically integrated solutions to clients in the transportation and industrial sectors across Canada and the USA. We don't just print on stickers; we print directly onto rigid materials and manufactured components, delivering a finished product that is ready for the assembly line.

For U.S. manufacturers seeking a nearshoring alternative to offshore printing, Graphie provides faster  lead times, tighter quality control, and fully integrated North American production.

The Flatbed Advantage: Printing Beyond Paper

The core of our digital printing capability is our high-performance UV Flatbed Printer. Unlike standard commercial printers limited to flexible media, our industrial flatbed system is engineered for rigid, heavy, and thick substrates.

Unmatched Capacity and Versatility

  • Massive Format: We can process sheets up to 4 x 8 feet (48" x 96"), allowing us to print full-sized architectural panels, equipment skins, or large batches of smaller parts in a single pass.

  • Thickness Capability: Uniquely, our equipment can print on materials up to 2 inches thick. This is a game-changer for industrial clients. We can print directly onto a pre-cut door, a thick acrylic window, or a formed metal casing, eliminating the need to apply a separate decal later.

  • Material Agnostic: We print with exceptional adhesion on a vast array of industrial materials including Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Polycarbonate (Lexan), Acrylic, Coroplast, and wood.

Green Guard Certified UV Inks: Durability Meets Safety

In the modern industrial landscape, performance cannot come at the expense of safety. Graphie utilizes exclusively Eco UV inks that are Green Guard Gold certified.

  • Environmental Safety: These inks meet strict limits for chemical emissions and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). This certification is particularly crucial for the transportation sector (buses, trains) and enclosed control rooms, where interior air quality standards are rigorous.

  • Instant Curing: The UV LED technology cures the ink instantly upon impact with the material. There is no drying time. This means parts can be handled, machined, or shipped immediately after printing, significantly accelerating production throughput.

  • Industrial Durability: Once cured, the ink forms a hard, chemical-resistant polymer bond with the substrate. It resists fading from UV exposure, abrasion from frequent cleaning, and damage from industrial solvents, ensuring long-term legibility of safety labels and control interfaces.

Print files, color profiles, and curing parameters are documented to ensure visual and functional consistency across recurring production runs.

Roll-to-Roll Solutions for Fleets and Decals

Complementing our flatbed capacity, we offer advanced Roll-to-Roll printing (Latex + Eco UV). This technology is optimized for flexible applications such as high-durability vinyl decals, fleet graphics for vehicles, and warning labels that need to be applied to curved surfaces.

By combining Roll-to-Roll printing with our Digital Cutting (Oscillating Knife) services, we can produce kiss-cut sticker kits delivered on organized sheets. These kits are arranged by assembly stage, allowing operators to apply the correct decal to the correct part without searching through loose labels.

Vertical Integration: The “One-Stop-Shop” Reality

The true power of Graphie lies in the intersection of our services. Because we are both a metal fabricator and an industrial printer, we can execute complex workflows that fragmented suppliers cannot:

  1. Cut & Print: We laser cut a steel panel, powder coat it white, and digitally print operational text and logos directly onto the painted surface, creating a seamless finish with no peeling edges.

  2. Reverse Printing: For control panels, we print graphics in reverse on the back of clear Polycarbonate sheets (cut in our non-metal department). This protects the ink beneath the plastic, making interfaces highly resistant to scratching and wear.

  3. Variable Data: Digital printing enables real-time customization. Serial numbers, QR codes, or unique identifiers can be printed on every part in a batch without stopping production, ensuring full traceability.

Many of these applications comply with industrial safety and labeling standards such as UL, CSA, and transportation-specific requirements.
