ANODIZING & SURFACE FINISHING
Aluminum Anodizing Services
For aluminum components in the transportation, and industrial sectors, the manufacturing process isn't complete until the surface is protected. Graphie provides professional Anodizing Services (Type II), delivering parts that are not only precision; fabricated but also chemically sealed against corrosion and wear.
We integrate surface finishing directly into our production workflow. Whether you need a cosmetic finish for a control panel or a protective coating for internal brackets, we manage the entire process to ensure the parts you receive are ready for immediate assembly.
Why Anodize?
Anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into a durable, corrosion-resistant, anodic oxide finish. Unlike paint or plating, this oxide layer is fully integrated with the underlying aluminum substrate, so it cannot chip or peel.
-
Corrosion Resistance: It seals the aluminum against oxidation, extending the lifespan of parts exposed to moisture or salt spray.
-
Durability: It increases the surface hardness, protecting the component from light scratches and abrasion during handling or operation.
-
Aesthetics: Anodizing maintains the metallic appearance of the aluminum while offering a uniform, matte, or satin finish that looks professional and clean.
Standard Industrial Anodizing (Type II)
We specialize in Sulfuric Acid Anodizing (Type II), which is the most widely used standard for industrial applications. It balances durability with aesthetic versatility.
-
Clear Anodizing: Preserves the natural silver look of the aluminum while eliminating the risk of oxidation (white rust) and fingerprints.
-
Black Anodizing: The most common color request for optical components, heatsinks, and electronic enclosures.
-
Color Options: We can dye the porous anodic layer in various colors (Blue, Red, Gold) for identification or branding purposes before sealing.
One-Stop Finishing
The risk in outsourcing finishing is damage during transport or inconsistencies between batches. By trusting Graphie with the full scope; Cut, Machine, and Anodize; you eliminate these headaches.
-
Quality Control: We inspect the raw parts before anodizing to ensure surface perfection, and we inspect the final finish before shipping.
-
Masking: We handle complex masking requirements if certain areas of the part (like grounding points or precision bores) must remain conductive or uncoated.
