How do I choose between Screen Printing and Pad Printing?
The rule of thumb is simple: If the surface is flat and accessible, Screen Printing is generally faster for large areas. If the surface is curved, round, or recessed (like the bottom of a box or a tight corner), Pad Printing is the required solution.
Can you print multicolor logos with pad printing?
Yes. We can print multi-color designs by registering the part precisely for multiple "hits" (one for each color). However, for complex photographic images on 3D parts, we might recommend looking into specialized digital solutions or decals depending on the geometry.
What is the maximum size you can pad print?
Pad printing is typically used for smaller, localized markings (logos, serial numbers, button labels). The image size is limited by the size of the silicone pad and the cliché plate. For very large graphics on flat surfaces, Screen or Digital printing is preferred.
